I’ve never been a member of the UFW, but am supportive of farm workers and the hard work they do in bringing food to millions of tables across the country. As a social activist Cesar represents care and concern about people and humanity in general. About bringing people together in solidarity and presenting a united front against injustice and inequality. I support the UFW by donating to them and signing petitions on their behalf. To me Cesar not only emodied the essence of humanitarianism and social activism, but community and the importance of recognizing all people especially the underserved, underepresented members and making sure they receive the credit and diginity and respect due to them. Cesar has not only inspired me to take a stand for human rights but also for the rights of the middle class and for Latinos everywhere.
