I don’t remember the year the great grape boycott began, but I truly sacrificed my enormous love of grapes to refrain from buying them. Then lettuce. (Not such a sacrifice!) I’m now an annual contributor to UFW. It is all Ceasar’s fault. Without him none of this would have happened, along with all the other actions and improvements in these workers’ lives. Ceasar’s genius is the cause of it all. Admittedly, he had just a little help (and I mean LITTLE) but it was his genius, energy and ideas which conquored many little things which add up to big things.
