I remember bro. Cesar like it was yesterday but it was the early 1970’s. Myself and many IWA & BC Fed. bros. & sis’s. stood with info signs outside the Super Value store in Vancouvers west side. We were filmed by the RCMP. Twice at IWA conventions in Vancouver and one in Portland I worked security for Cesar, and or his standin, first one off the elevator. At this time there was an organisation that had a real dislike for Cesar. He was a powerful speaker because he spoke from the heart. Bro Cesar was one hellava leader because he believed in working ppl. Old and retired for 12 years now but bro. Cesar Chavez still is in my heart and mind. RIP my bro.
